December 2007, a year following an emotional experience with a handful of kids playing soccer leading me to officially embark on the mission help the less fortuinate kids, I returned to my hometown (Barrett Town, Rose Hall, Jamaica) and gave a handful of youths a pair of soccer shoes.
A handful of youths who got soccer shoes and drawstring bags (I am in the middle).
This gesture was well appreciated by the kids, and I was somberly overjoyed: I was overjoyed that my gesture would serve a worthy cause and lead to overjoyed kids, but was sombered because there were several other kids who would like to play but had no means to play.
